A few JHM Parts I was not aware of before
If you have a click on the 'Our range of brake discs' tab it lists the applications per manufacturer and model; for the RS4 (8E VA) it says 380x38mm and lists only 'drilled' and 'wet' versions and suggests 3 different ceramic designsduud40 wrote:I`m saying they show wave discs in a lot of configuration on the site, one of which is 371x34 mm. The only problem would be bolt pattern .
Are you saying you called or emailed and they said they only do wave discs in 380x38 ?
It does not say that on the site.
Down at the bottom on this page : http://www.o-brake.com/en_design_wave.php
Possible dimensions:
â–º Diameter: 312 mm to 430 mm
â–º Thickness: 24 mm to 42 mm
â–º Individual production
so this means we can get ceramic discs for the std 365 hat?duud40 wrote:Discs that fit the oem rs4 hats :
1. 365x34mm disc drilled
2. 380x34mm disc drilled
3. 380x34mm disc wave
4. 380x34mm disc wet
Anything else is possible but requires min 10 pcs ( dunno if that is 10 sets or 5 sets )
how about the same for the rears? edit: forgot rears are solid, 1 piece with e-brake
can you get prices?
maybe group buy?
P_G here's the std size upgrade http://www.o-brake.com/en_bremsscheiben_original.php
Ouch if that is how much they are in Europe. You can get them here for the equivalent of 650 Euros plus postage.
I would do a group buy if the price and weight (i.e. less than OEM) is right and they can fabricate solid rears to match their fronts if in wave style, otherwise I would go for drilled. If the factors aren't conducive we would just as well ask JHM for a GB on shipping to the UK / Europe because it is shipping / customs which are the killer with their merchandise.
