How much are a set of spacers, and what ones would I need? Could these be fitted by local tyre-fitter type easily when they change the tyres?

Any opinion on Bridgestones. I tried to get vederstiens Sessanta but cannot get any up north, tried Tyreman (hull) but they cannot supply either need to get tyres next week. Offered the Bridgestones @ £240 each?

For that price I would prefer to have Goodyear F1 Assymmetrics, was quoted £230 a corner for them.

Surprised at Tyremen, I only got my last two tyres from them 2 weeks ago.

Best to get hubcentric spacers, 10mm if running 275's, 12mm if running 255's on the rear only. I don't bother with spacers on the front but IIRC 6mm on front with 255's works.

H&R are what I have, got mine for about £45.

Probably not, the side wall height would be a full 10mm more than than the standard 255/35 and more than likely rub with the increased width as well.

Chaps, I have x4 275/30/19 Vred Sessanta Ultra on my Avant.

Any ideas as to what tyre pressures are optimal for these?

Any difference recommended between summer and winter?

did the 275's fit with no mods required, im looking for a set of Vreds but cant decide between 275 or 255? want to protect the wheels if possible with the wider tyres but dont want to have to do any mods to accomadate the widr tyre..also where's the best place to bu y these from

If you cant make a decision then stick wit 255/35, the car will prob handle better all round, The car was designed to run on these with 19s.

I am running 255 /40 18 on winter tires (Hankook]which mirror my summer tires 255/40/19(Bridgestones)

275s fit with no problem and you can even fit spacers. As many on here, I opted for 275s F1s and they are very good, give the car a good stance and have lasted 10K and stillhave around 4K to go. The F1s on 275 also seem to offer more protection for the alloy rim. I've also fitted rear spacers with no rubbing but this is purely for cosmetic purposes and actually might remove them the next time the alloys are off.

Anyone tried the contisportcontact 5p yet?seem to be getting good reviews.Had the sessantas twice now and been good tyres though maybe along with G/Y f1 ass becoming outclassed.

right, 4 new tyres needed, quite badly. No at all that clued up on tyres and read loads on here yesterday.

I have Vred Sessanta's and they are amazing!! Give them a try, it's worth it.

All the usual places do them, Camskill, MyTyre etc
