IMHO that's a "boiler plate" response designed not to upset an existing customer, and deter them from buying a competitors product. But it has no meaning at all, since it's a total platitude - "may", "some time"...it may be possible that a new RS4 is launched some time in the future

I bet they had to look up what you meant when you referred to B7 & B8Im surprised you even got a response.
So was I !!
I know someone who works at a big Audi Centre and they referred to B6 & B7 as half grille and full grille!

I doubt you'll be impressed when you do. I've had a couple of loaners from the stealers and I was happily dissapointed. 'Happily' because I considered a B8 S4 before I bought the RS. Dash is a MUCH MUCH cheaper and uglier version of the A6 which I sold to buy the RS and the transmission tunnel bulges out pushing the pedals well off centre making it feel very awkward. I noted the bulge is only on the UK side (Don't mention the war) and they were a very uninspiring drive. I'd rather drive my wifes 04 1.6 civic,,, really, I would!sonny wrote:RS4 will be B9 for sure. Agreed, I think the build quality of the B8 is not up to the B7's high standards. Recession cost cutting perhaps?

..and then there's the stupid electric handbrake.
On Passats when it goes wrong you simply can't move the car and the only fix is to smash the caliper apart.
And when it works it's still w4nk
Don't have to google very hard to find some rants;

That's *almost* enough to put me off ANY future Audi.neckarsulm wrote:..and then there's the stupid electric handbrake.
The "handbrake" is actually a secondary braking system that can be useful in emergencies - when controllable, which an electric handbrake isn't (that's binary).
