Warranty Direct etc
How much do you guys pay for Warranty Direct cover per year (or other insurer)?
I tried to get an online quote, but for some reason it didnt work.
I am thinking which warranty to go for, or maybe not bother.
Do their policies cover the DRC or has this been written out having had so many claims?
Joe

I'd be surpised if any 3rd party warranty would cover dampers as they are considered to be a wear and tear item

Yes, thats true, but I wonder about the valves and pipes?
RE: Warranty Direct etc
they will exclude the DRC as per the RS 6 ... Had their fingers burnt
You have to call them for the RS ... Prob £750 per year

I rang up Audi Warranty this week which is run by Mondial (?) and they quoted me £999 (15k miles PA, 250 excess, inc Roadside Assist) or £777 for a named components cover which seemed to exclude electrical bits, should have asked about DRC etc but was in shock at the time.

yes the Audi warranty is Mondial, I was told this the other day when I called my local Audi dealer. They also said they have some special offers on right now.
RE: Warranty Direct etc
I bought my RS in May, came with a year's Audi (Mondial I think) warranty, which I extended for an extra two years for £850. This was the only bit of the 'aftercare' sales nonsense I plumped for as I thought it was pretty good value.

Is this only available to cars currently under an Audi warranty?

I think you can only get it if you buy off an Audi approved dealer. I was offered a year warranty, then a further 2 years for £700 which was very good value, but the car was too over priced in the first place for the condition it was in.

^^ that should say 'if you buy an Audi approved used car', you get One years warranty, and at the moment they will allow it to be extended for Two more years for £700.
RE: Re: RE: Warranty Direct etc
Any ideas how to get the two extra years for £700? I wasn't offered this at all when I collected my car a couple of weeks ago.

In case the Audi route doesnt work out for you have a look at page 6 on this thread
http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... c&start=75
A few of us have gone this way and it lists the extra cover we got included for £750. Important to get the Luxury cover. No claim issues have come up on here yet ....
For piece of mind and if you can get the deals being described on here then i can understand why you would want the Mondia one, but dont assume that you wont have the same typical problems from them - its insurance after all

Well the first thing to do is ask your dealer. If they won't entertain your request try Audi Customer Services. Maybe another forum member will be kind enough to send you the details of there warranty so you can go armed with some back-up.

They should have offered it to you unless they have stopped the promotion/offer. I was offered at Taunton Audi and and Tonbridge, both were mid Nov though, they might have changed it now.
