5th S/RS model, but new to the Forum!

Post by Chris24565 » Sat Nov 27, 2010 8:27 pm

Hi all,

I've just joined the forum, following a chat with someone in my local Audi Dealers.

I am on my 5th S/RS model, having previously owned: -

1) Phantom Black B7 RS4 (2006-06)
2) Mugelo Blue B7 RS4 (2007-57 )
3) Ibis White TTS Roadster (2008-58 ) wifes car actually.
4) Imola Silver RS6 Avant (2008-08 )
5) Racing Blue RS6 Plus Avant (2010-60) [Current Steed]

I live in the North West of England and would be interested in attending any meets / runs / trips to the pub for a natter with other RS / S owners, so will watch for any threads coming up!

Great work everyone.

:)

Chris.

hi Chris ...

Welcome ! a very nice selection of cars ! how come you've had x2 RS 4's and x2 RS 6 in a row ?!?!

not sure you got the names of the colours correct ... Imola is yellow ... and racing blue, is that Sepang Blue ?

Hi and thanks for the responses,

It was someone at Blackburn Audi that recommended the Forum.

The reason I had 2 RS4's back to back is that I piled thousands of miles on the first one and when I realised they were being phased out I bought a low mileage used one to keep me going, after getting a good price for the black one.

I tried the RS6 and didn't really want to like it because I loved the RS4 that much, but I was absolutely blown away with the performance of it!

2nd RS6 is because I tried pretty much everything available out there to compare it with and quite frankly there is NOTHING that can do everything the RS6 does - estate car space, super-car matching performance and 4-wheel drive that gets me home in the snow!

Apologies on the colours, Imola should have read Monza (got my Italian race-tracks mixed up) but the Racing blue is right, it's an Audi exclusive (mica) colour for the "Plus" model, looks purple in some lights, but is stunning in the sunlight!

This is it in the dealers before I collected it, photo taken on my phone, so not the best! Promise you it looks even better in the flesh!

Will add some more for you when I can find where the missiz has put the camera!

Sounds good to me mate!

Don't suppose you can shed any light on my "insurance fiasco" can you? I've put it under another thread in the V10 RS6 section?

Thanks for that, I discussed it with the broker who deals with my companies fleet policy (vans mainly) and he said the data showed that the car had a 4179cc engine and not the 4991cc.

I'm not sure if there would be a problem in the event of a claim, as the rest of the car details are correct, but I would have thought they would relish the thought of wriggling out of a big value claim, however trivial the discrepancy.

:(

Thanks again for your help mate.
