ISOFIX question

In my quest for a 'sensible' family estate car I have been looking at various RS4s. Not all list ISOFIX. The brouchure listed here on RS246 states that it doesn't come with the Bucket seats.

OK this makes sense with the front passenger seat but do the rears have ISOFIX as standard or was this an option?

Yes, I think it is referring to the front seats only. I have buckets in the front and ISOFIX in the rear.

The buckets dont have the ISOFIX in them, but as far as I know, all the rear seats do regardless of spec - so yes it will be there.

Mine with buckets certainly has ISOFIX in the back.

Cars with "normal" front seats, with the ISOFIX mount, should have the switch in the glovebox to turn off the passenger airbag.

Mine has buckets and two rear isofix points. Currently have a full set in the back - 1 group 2, 1 group 1 and 1 rear facing group 0 isofix britax thing.
All fits fine (well, ok, a little bit tight but it's definately workable and safe).

Thanks for the replies - also nice to hear that kiddy seats do fit as I have read a lot of posts on here about the buckets robbing rear space

The buckets definately do rob back seat space.
I have a 3 y/o, 2 y/o and a 3 week old. I put the youngest in the passenger side isofix as my wife is shorter than I. Plenty of room for that.
The eldest goes in the middle and the 2 y/o behind me.
Probably the worst fit is the 2 y/o behind me. I've put a transparent piece of plastic (like what you get on buggies/prams as a rain cover) to protect the seat as he does kick it.
For the longer term I'm tempted to get some 3M DiNoc carbon vinyl and cover the seat backs to give them some better looking protection.

The problem isn't the car as such - it's the seats are massive. I'm getting a multimac for a long term fix as this has lots of advantages (but price isn't one of them!)

As an aside, I've no idea what the rear panel of the buckets are made out of but even duct tape doesn't stick!

No not at all - I'm 5'10"

Group 1 seats are always the killer - they are simply massive (and heavy). As soon they are able to get safely in I'd recommend a group 2 as these are considerably smaller.
I'd also not recommend the multi group ones (group 123) as you always end up with a big heavy seat and group 2 seats are pretty cheap (40-50 quid)

Nice to know they all fit (just!). I've got a 3 y/o, 2 y/o and one due any day so I will soon be in the same situation. Although we only use my car occasionally for family trips it was still a consideration when choosing the car.

it's all good - as long as the 3 y/o is a bit athletic and can climb int their seat.
