RS6_Dave .... btw, I also phoned BlackCircle this morning and they have confirmed the load rating on the Hankook is 92, and not 97 as on their website.

On a further note, although I am no load tyre expert, but an RS6 weighs 1865 kg, which equates to 466kg per wheel. Now a 92 load tyre has a rating of 630kg so this might be within acceptable tolerance.

I'm not sure if these load ratings are carried on wieight of car alone or fully laden. But even if fully laden the car will weigh an extra 400kg maybe .... i.e. 2265kg, which is 566kg per axle and still below 630kg.

I'm not talking major grinding, just a mm or two at most!, once dirtied up again, you'd be hard pushed to notice it had been done.

That would do my head in at high speed. You must have mastered your paranoia.

I'd be more worried in an Avant! With the extra weight and all!

To be honest the car doesn't get that much high speed action these days, as the wife uses it predominantly. Anyway, I'm comfortable with it as I have found the cause of my blow-outs.

The avant btw is only 25kg heavier ! :)

LOL! As long as you don't have a washing machine in the boot!

The avant has a boot too? I knew it had a concert hall in the back, but a boot as well? Mafia staff extreme, is the boot where you keep all the digging equipment?

:) :) :)

Yes, but even with a washing machine in the back the Avant has better aerodynamics to compensate!

Had two ContiSport Contact 5P (with special Audi fit, code RO1) put on this weekend. The tyres are noticeably more rounded, and seem to clear the knobbly bit. Also these have a much bigger and thicker rubber alloy rim protector. Ride is very quiet and smooth too.
