AVS 3 completed.

The joys of running a high performance car....

AVS3 done today...£475..

Although i did get the plugs changed...aircon recharged and pollen filter done on top.

Didnt need plugs but images of gunked up valves made me feel sorry for my spark plugs so i decided to change them... :D

I swear she pulls harder with new plugs...

BMC air filter should be hear Monday so that will complete the package.

Happy days.

Any one got a basic guide to changing the air filter..

Cheers guys

Chrissy.

Forgot to mention...only downside was the cheeky service guy who "acussed" me of not leaving enough fuel in the courtesy car!!!

Cheeky <beep>.

It was empty when i got it...

Needless to say he got no joy from me...Took the edge of a good service expierience...but i got a tub of Audi sweets from the tight gits....

To Be fair seems a good price (if it includes acourtesy car, thats not really a courtesy car). Did you inspect your old plugs?

I changed mine myself at about 40k. Whilst probably not needing changed, I'm also sure the car felt better afterwards. Interestingly each bank of plugs was markedly different in appearance. One side dark and "wet" the other White and "dry" if you know what I mean....

I always ask to see the old parts now, as last service I also had the brake fluid changed, apparently, although fitting some braided hoses at a later date showed they'd never touched the brakes previously!....
Mind you they probably have a spare parts bin for such things! Not that I don't trust them anymore......

BMC filter arrived today.

Set about fitting tonight.

All done!!!... :D

Old one was filthy and i mean filthy..

Should have changed it at the last service really...anyway cleaned out airbox and did the old airbox flap test...basically pushing it to see if it moved.....

She moved fine even better when electircal contact cleaner blasted all over it...

Finally test drive...car feels a lot keener especially as i mentioned above i changed the spark plugs...maybe a depper induction noise..anyway the good news is the kick at 5500rpm is there stronger than ever.

Happy days.. :D

Nice one fella, BMC filter is a good "cheap" mod.
