DRC

Post by Jonah » Wed Sep 22, 2010 8:31 pm

Car went in this morning for front nearside & rear offside replacement.
They have given me a brand new A6 Allroad Quattro, 40k+ I'm sure. Its got quite a bit of kit in it, however, its just not a patch on my RS4. Missing it already and its been less than 12 hours.
They said hopefully it should be ready for Friday, 3 days should be more than enough time surly, how long does this type of work generally take?

And just out of curiosity, what price tag would you put on this work?

they usually only need it overnight so I would have expected it to be ready tomorrow morning.

Sorry newbie owner here but how do you know if you have a DRC issue? Is there a distinct problem that appears?

Only had mine about 7 weeks, a couple of weeks after getting it, a knocking noise appeared when driving over any bump big or small, slow or fast.

My passenger side rear is gone, leaking oil spotted last week after I complained about knocking noises. Noise started off small a few weeks ago but now rattles most of the time on any kind of bumo, doesn't be quite as bad after driving for awhile. The rattling and banging seems to be coming from the left and right rear. Is this the normal pattern

Thats exactly as it happened with mine, started off with just a small knock, then day by day seamed to get worse. At the end as you said a lounder knock with a bit of rattle.

Got my car back last Friday, now drives superb.
