Another Angle on Torque Converter 17125 Code
Gareth, we've got the same TCU map and for about the same length of time and I've had zero problems with mine. I don't think it's the TCU, I suspect it's a failing TC.

No, i'm still on the MRC tcu map as I haven't got around to soldering in my MTM chip into my spare TCU.
TBH, I do think it is the TC and i've been in conversations with MRC re a replacement gearbox, but I just wanted to check a few things before I outlay lots of cash.
Yesterday I put in my standard TCU and i'll take it out for a good thrashing sometime this week

Sorry, mate. I confused MTM and MRC for a second... I should really learn to read better!

Is it possible that the BLS is failing without throwing an error?
After replacing the BLS I've not seen the "17125 - Torque Converter Clutch: Stuck OFF / No Power being transferred" error since. It's only an £8 replacement part and takes about 30mins to fit.
I don't like that the BLS can fail leaving us to drive around with the TC stuck open, can't be good for the TC longevity!?!?

No matter where you go, there you are.
Having the TC stuck open is probably better for longevity since the clutches are not doing any work and getting used up. Used to be that the TCs didn't have lock-up clutches at all
The brake light switch is what bambam is talking about and it's definitely worth a shot...

Another Angle on Torque Converter 17125 Code
Just reading up on this old post,
I've had the car down mrc two or three weeks ago, I had no codes back then.
Had the codes checked again and have hade the BLS fault and the 17125 come in together,
Can any one confirm that they are deffo related, obviously I could have a a fault with both, but does the BLS cause the 17125 fault?

Could be. Better start praying that that's the case...
