Did not realise you had "re entered the fold" Simon. Great news and you finally realised that Misano is way faster than Noggy Blue, and any other colour for that matter....

What is the spec on your car?

Imola must be faster than both Misano and Nogaro as it was an F1 track. Also less letters in Imola, so must weigh less.

Where is the the FPR? I was going to ask about this anyway. I read about Doug cleaning this out for someone.

Any opinions on the N75? Are they broken 100% or working 100%? i.e. not half working

Hi Dave - yeah back in the fold. Car just did 532ps on MRC rollers. Very happy!

The N75 can go bad. Stick a boost gauge on and see what psi its doing. Also worth pressure testing the intake.

Thanks again Simon. I have asked this in a couple of places now.

The N75 on mine still has original factory crimped clips on it, so, will probably change it at some point anyway.

Is there an updated N75,like the DV's 710n is better than710b, or just stick with original part number?

Took FPR off a few days ago all seemed ok, gave it a clean anyway. Bit of ingrained dirt on the casing it

pushes into, nothing much. Does the FPR come to bits, didn't want to pull the wee sieve too hard. Is the FPR

something that should be replaced periodically? Put that back together and went to Tesco for some 99.

I've always used V Power. All feels much better. The wife's, makesmefeelfunnyinside smileometer started working again.

It must be Quicker this hasn't happened since I changed the DV's.

Have you finished that tester yet?

The standard N75 is just fine Mike. No need to update, however they do go bad. You can test the FPR with a fuel pressure tester. I think they are pretty reliable though, compared to DV's, MAFs etc.

I've finished my tester yes :D

Hyperspace is back;

Had another problem which I think played a part, http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... ic&t=85541

I think the N75 has made a big difference. I also cleaned out the FPR, but it wasn't dirty and renewed the small vacuum hose that goes
from the FPR to the inlet manifold. The cloth braiding was falling to bits and causing the hose to kink at either end. Replaced small vacuum
hose on right hand DV and a couple of one way valves. (still one to do)
The temp sensor could have played a part in all this as the ECU will adjust the fuel mixture to the temp it thinks the engine coolant is.

Fitting the new MAF helped, but after doing all the wee things above, it is now completely transformed.
More power, more torque, more MPG (not from MAF but more from temp sensor), more responsive, smoother, quieter and best of all:

"Revs dropping fairly quickly during gear change".

Yeah we looked at a few, but none with any wow factor . This one did it for us. The difficult part was getting it off him. Kept trying to pull out the sale, don't think he really wanted to sell. Still, persistence pays off.
Cleaned up a treat inside, outside and underneath.
Just fitted new wheels and tyres yesterday. One of the originals had three cracks on the inside rim, needed inflating evry few days and measured 6mm less one way than the other. Also had three different makes of tyre. Feels like a new car now.
Have a new undertray waiting to go on. Got a brand new, genuine, reinforced one off ebay for £90 delivered. Seemed a good price to me.
How do you know about the undertray?
