Alu/Carbon Interior Trim

Post by xelr8 » Fri Jun 25, 2010 3:58 pm

Hello

Interested in getting another RS4 (prob Avant) but quite a few I have seen have the Alu Interior Trim which I hate.
Just wondered if anyone knew if this could be changed for the Proper RS4 Carbon Fibre Interior Trim aftermarket?

If so is it available from Audi?

Best Regards
Leon

It can be done, and sometimes carbon trim comes up on E-Bay / forums etc but pricey if from Audi.

If it is an 'approved' Audi as the dealership to change it as part of the deal?

Very easy to change over, they just clip out. My car was delivered with the wrong spec and I fitted th replacements myself in 5 minutes

I went the other way, took out carbon too dull in the cabin for me,prefered brushed alloy to compliment the steering wheel etc

I initially wanted the carbon when looking for my RS4. i spent months looking and turning down the cars with the alu trim.

I eventually found a car i really liked and upon viewing realised it had the alu trim.

To be honest, i began to prefer it over the carbon. It does compliment the steering wheel and pedals well, and really livens up the interior.

I do still love the carbon, but find the alu just as pleasing to see and drive about in.

For comparison, and it shows how it brightens up the interior and compliments the wheel:

Each to their own opinion though.....
