I've just checked my quote and it states the vehicle as "AUDI A4 RS4 QUATTRO". So all appears to be in order......I just need to review all the 'small-print'.
Had a quote from Warranty Direct also for £750. One thing i noticed in the paperwork was that it is listed as having a turbo. Perhaps could get the price reduced further by removing this and changing the yearly mileage limit to suit? Currently defaults to 30k.

Was the quote via the internet or by phone.

You need to check Warranty Directs labour rates. Their documentation is not very clear - in fact I'm not sure even they fully understand it.

My wife has a policy with them & her 'certificate' states £55ph outside the M25. It doesn't specify the rate inside. This led to a "frank exchange of views" when after having paid for two 2 repairs at £100ph they tried to insist that it was £55ph inside as well!

WD do admit that it's possible to get quotes on higher labour rates but do beware, and make sure all quotes are like for like...........

The policy they quote for the RS4 covers all labour rates at franchised dealers and shows no limit so i think it is ok in that respect. Thanks for the warning though.
Warrantywise and click4warranty both require you to specify labour rates however.

I've been told by Warranty Direct that the labour rate offered covers all Audi Franchised Dealers Prices.

The only thing I've queried is the lack of cover for certain items which the extortionate Audi Product includes - Namely Sat.Nav / I.C.E. & Catalytic Converters etc. After speaking a lovely lady called Lauren, all these items can now be covered for an extra £50.

So the cost now stands at £800......but, I'm still reading the small-print to see if there's anything I've missed.

This looks to be firming up as a good and far cheaper alternative to the audi product.

I'm glad you're all letting me do the work for you!!

I did notice one omission from the cover (Emissions / Airbags), but before I had a chance to contact them to ask the question I had an e-mail confirming the previous request(s) and adding this option at no extra cost.

So the products as it stands is:

12 Months Luxury Care, with additional cover for the Catalytic Converters, Sat.Nav / I.C.E. and Emissions / Airbags.

Breakdown Cover: Not requested.

Excess: £50

Total Cost: £800 (one payment).

This product can also be transferred with the car to a new owner, from one car to a 'new' car or cancelled pro-rata minus a £50 admin fee.

Please note: I may have found it easier to negotiate this price for myself because my car has very low 'mileage' (~11,750) and I do less than 5,000 Miles / Year.

RSLS - Dont worry im looking into it also so you are not alone ;)
One thing though did you check the paperwork reveived with the quote - mine showed the car as being a turbo and up to 30k mile per year so perhaps more room for negotation?
Good spot on the ICE stuff!

..
And a few others....

These other quotes look appealing, but IMO it would be best to stay with the Audi product. I would be tempted to call Audi Customer Service 0800 699888 and make them aware of the options and ask if they will reduce the warranty cost down to say £1,200.

I do know that Audi are aware that their warranty cost is out of synch with the rest of the market.

Good to know that there are a few others looking over it with a more automotive educated eye than me!

Having a few 'issues' with the Audi warranty at the moment so keen to try elsewhere or nothing at all. We shall see.
