B5 S4 Discs...

Post by mrmule » Fri May 21, 2010 6:41 pm

Anyone recommend a specific groved or drilled disc for the B5 S4?

I understand theres the risk or fracure with the heavily drilled options, perhaps groved will suffice.

Any favorites out there? link?

I use EBC discs and Red stuff pads all round. Squeel like s*it for the first 700 - 1k miles from new but then they are fine after that.

they look sweet. how do they perform?

Are you running B5 or B6 calipers?

Also, where did you get them? europerformanceparts? link for the disc and pads would be greatly appreciated.

Yep there the one's in the link you posted up. My calipers are standard with a couple of coats of black caliper paint and some S4 decals... :D Performance wise well... once they have warmed up they are better than the standard discs and pads. Could still do with a brake upgrade though when funds permit.....Overall they do their job and look better than OEM i've had them a few years now and they haven't let me down yet

ps: I got mine direct from EBC discs & pads all round.

What about these? Theyre half the price of the EBC? Are they really half the quality?

I've been looking at these (item number 180430023549) I was thinking the same as you for when i need to re-new. They look the same as what your looking at but slightly cheaper again : )

I bought a set of these from this guy, for my 2000 S4 Avant, and they are performing very well. Definately better than the originals, and they look nice too. Very happy with them.
