Mine is due tomorrow morning so should have it fitted in a jiffy

Put gear select mid point (N / D), turn off ignition.
Push mid sides of gaitor in towards gear select and it will release and come out.
Remove the gear display strip on RH side.
Push up old switch from below, un-plug & replace with new.
Replace all in reverse... done!

Had mine fitted last tuesday...love it!...easy peasy? it took Harrogate Audi an hour and a half to fit!!!

They said it was a hard job because of the centre console!

Seems like they followed the workshop method....
And it does not seem to fit as flush as the old one.
.... and still feckd it up !

i did it before i drove from Audi garage, took one or two minutes

Love it

If you don't have keyless start do you still get the nice round start button ? Was wondering about changing mine on the RS4 to one that said "start engine"

Thanks - will have to decide if gutting the start button is worth the effort - looks much nicer than mine as mine is just silver button.

Bit of an old thread I know but just ordered mine today with delivery expected Friday. I assume the gator is just as easy to replace once you are reversing the process?

Oh, and the price has gone up to £45 for the button! And there are only two left at the warehouse if anyone else is interested.
