Southampton or Poole service centre?

Post by fiberoptic » Sat Mar 06, 2010 5:27 pm

Warranty runs out at the end of the month so I need to take it in for the first MOT and want to get it serviced as well.

I took my A4 to the Southampton Audi when I lived there. Now i'm in east Dorset and don't know where to go. From personal experience, with the A4, Southampton Audi were OK, but I don't know what they are like with the RS4. Could go to Poole Audi instead, they are actulally closer, but never used them before.

Anyone knows what Poole and Southampton are like with our cars? Good or bad service/experiences? Or maybe I should just go to Camberley although they are a bit far for an MOT and service.

Southampton Audi are 100% hopeless with the RS4, don't even think about going there. Even though I live 3 miles from them I drive all the way to Camberley Audi - who are one of the (apparently) very few dealers that understand the RS4.

Can't comment on Poole Audi.

Thanks Dave. I'll just go to Camberley, for the peace of mind.

I gotta say I see a lot of guys slate their local dealers on here, but I can honestly say Poole Audi have been 100% reliable. They have never questioned any of my issues and have carried out all of those issues under warranty with no grumbles or wriggling (unlike BMW).. the Poole girls up there are stunning btw ;) always makes waiting easier lol. An absolute hassle free experience each time i've needed them. Also they'll carry out an end of warranty inspection to find any faults and use that warranty to get any faulty parts replaced. The RS tech is very knowledgable, helpful and a bit of an RS enthusiaste, which is nice 2 know. Hope this goes someway 2 helping. Cheers.

The ones that get slated, based on what owners say, appear to deserve being slated. Staff at Southampton Audi continually refer to my "A4" and when reminded that it's an RS4 just look at me in a way that says "yes dear".

That's seem to be the exception, it's always good to hear of a dealer that is worth going to - I seemed to remember posts saying that Poole Audi were good, but didn't want to comment myself since I have no personal experience of them.

Good to hear Poole Audi are good with the RS.

I might try them instead of Camberley. I'll post my feedback if I go to Poole.

For what it's worth I have always used Heritage Audi in Salisbury...they've always been very helpful. There's a guy there in service called Matthew
who is always enthusiastic and keen to help. I was there on Friday and he said that he'd be able to reduce the (latest)warranty price when it's due again in October.
They are just going through a major re-fit so the place is a bit of a mess...still did a good job though.
Thought I'd mention it in case Salisbury was nearer for you.

I didn't even think about Salisbury - it's actually not far from me. Thanks for the feedback.
