I do enjoy my car, as RS6 owners enjoy their cars but were concerned about DRC, and rightly too. I have had all 4 shocks changed on my car, or was that my imagination? We all need to work from within to solve any issue, and not to brush it away.

And as said before comparing this issue to DRC is pretty futile because the failure of DRC was obvious, you are still discussing a theory based laregly on theoretical interpretation of various forms of inconsistent data in the belief that the car is down on power

No-one wanting to buy an RS4 is put off by these discussions as the rapid sales of these cars shows

It is also fair to say the majority of people do not read the forums and just as well as we would have more people like Jonah who came on with the exact same query and a number of us have to reassure him the issue isn't as great as portrayed by people like you.

They are all taking a view, as you should and keep your own counsel if you have said all you want to.

And so should you but stop airing it in public. Granted it is a public forum but your inclination to keep banging your head against a brick wall by churning this out on other threads if this is locked is just a waste of time. The fact you have had an RS2,4&6 does not give you licence to air your opinions more publically then others.

You have promised to raise this at the Audi visit, have you not?

I'll raise the question of what they think of all these discussions but as to their thoughts on the subject matter itself I'm begining to wonder whether I'll bother because it is adding fuel to a fire I do not wish to see or contribute to.

Now if Audi Germany were to come on to this forum, and say there is absolutely no problem and explain the rationale, then this and other threads will close rather quickly

And the likelihood of that is....zero because if they do not believe it is an issue it won't be acknowledged on a public forum as one. Since a few people on here know Rob at Camberley Audi and they are supposed to the RS specialists, can someone ask their opinion on carbonisation and what Audi's communications on it are? and more importantly, what actually evidence there is and what measurables were used to record this.

I have a different viewpoint to yours on many of the above issues, but it does not help to itemise the differences.

This is an open forum & transparency is vital, and viewers should be confident there is no "acting in concert" for the credibility of the forum is then at stake.

I do like your suggestion about Camberley Audi. They see more RS4's than the average Audi dealer. It would be good if someone from Camberley Audi is willing to state their opinion on the subject on this forum (if Rob is on this forum?). And if someone knows of other dealers with experience on this, their opinions too would be most welcome. This may allay concerns.

There is something else too you mentioned i.e viewers on this forum do not want this subject discussed any further. I take that comment on board and have a suggestion for your consideration. We have nearly 10,000 members. If even 1% of that number post on here and state they do not want this issue discussed, I undertake NEVER EVER to mention this again on 246.com. Is that fair?

Failing that, it is up to JR of course to close this thread at any stage, and as the OP I would fully understand his reasons for doing so.
