RS4 B7 Stated Power claim of 420ps
So it would appear that all FSI engines from all manufacturers suffer from carbon build up and that over time this may/will impact on performance, if this is every 50-70,000 miles I can live with that at least I have no cam belt to change. There seems to be no cure unless you want to ditch the big V8 and go electric oh decisions, decisions. It was interesting to see porches valves thought it was a RS4.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ boring boring boring,my mates just coughed up £3k for a major service on his 996t and then had some kind person key it,my arse is staying firmly in the rs4 name me a better 4 door car that is quick all year round, good build quality, good depreciation etc etc then il think about jumping ship, any 400bhp car is highly unlikely to make bang on its power, the last dyno session had b5s that should make 420 producing 380 so what!!! If your that bothered dont buy one or sell the one you have but tell me what your buying thats better as im all ears!!

So given that there appear to be factual errors in his post (no changed parts after week 20 2007, rings are not in the head,...) IMHO Qisha's "opinions" shouldnot be given any more crediblity than any other (apparently) non-technical owners' opinions.ArthurPE wrote:that's becasue it is NOT from Audi
or be patient & keep an open mind. The supposed issue of power loss due to coking up has been raised and discussed ad infinitum, so there's already a lot of opinions and some fact in the public domain.sims wrote:or be patient & keep an open mind. This issue has been raised by more than one person, in more than one continent.
Another post that contains factual inaccuracies adds nothing to the current state of knowledge, so there's nothing to wait for or keep an open mind about regarding the post by Qisha.
