Would a manual have sounded nicer?

Probably more to do with the majority of M3's being sold are E90 Coupes and they see a market where there are buyers and possibly some of their client base who have been asking for a coupe version of the RS4.no_RS wrote:One thought, don't Audi make RS versions of their cars in the last 2 years of the model life? If so the A5 hasn't been out that long compared to the B5/B7 A4, C5 A6 could this be an admission that the A5 is a failure it being it out so soon?
I would agree regarding the Avant but the saloon looks spot on IMO. Just a damn pity there are so few and they are still so expensive. Residuals are going to be good on them because of rarity. I know many people slated them for their weight and uninvolving drive when they first came out, however I have not read one long term test where the testers have not been completely smitten with its practicality and ability to scare some supercars in the same package, especially if remapped.stumpy67 wrote:The C6 has missed a trick to (IMHO), and looks too subtle. The arches should be a lot more pronounced.
I prefer RS Avants, but on the RS 6 I agree the saloon looks better and would be my choice - great value for what it offers.P_G wrote: I would agree regarding the Avant but the saloon looks spot on IMO. .
What is the weight difference, and as they say beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder.no_RS wrote:If Audi are trying to produce some comparable with the E90 they failed, the A5 has eaten way too many lard sandwiches to be in the same class. I'm not a fan of BMW but the A5/RS5 v the E90 the E90 wins everytime in the looks department.
What was the RS4 then? An S4 with some trick bits and big price that's what. And that has always been the recipe for and RS (bar the 2).jonathonturner wrote:cashing in on the RS brand i would say.karl wrote:Totally agree, what a let down. It's as if Brussells had a firm hand in this car. What a mistake me thinks. Have Audi lost their way?
its an S5 with some trick bits, and a a big price.
one word summary?
fugazi.
Exactly, and that is the reason I have one - a car that looks low key to all but the initiated.hody7869 wrote: What was the RS4 then? An S4 with some trick bits and big price that's what. And that has always been the recipe for and RS (bar the 2).
We are all driving around in an Audi A4....I don't see what the fuss is about.
Wise man. I read elsewhere there is talk of only 150 units for 2010 and then 750 for for the first half of 2011. So the 2010 cars will retain their values in the 1st few months because of scarcity, hype etc. and longer if the reality matches the promise.hody7869 wrote: I shall not be buying until the first owners have taken the "hit" mind.
Ok, you say the E90 M3 looks really good.no_RS wrote:We might love Audi and it's cars but they don't seem to love us very much, the A5 is butt ugly and making it an RS doesn't change that just damages the RS brand IMHO.
But you do agree they have both eaten the same number of lard sandwiches regardless of perceptions ...no_RS wrote:BMW 3 series coupe weighs 1645kg unladen, S5 coupe is 1630kg so nothing major in the weight department but it just looks fat...
