Having doubts about the vreds......
I have a set of vreds 255/35/19 on mine at moment and i have to agree with mooch that if you push them hard in current colder weather i.e sub 5-8'C they slide a bit, feels like bit of scary understeer. Vredestein say they are a "true summer tyre" and yes "they are bit oilly to start with and need scrubbing in"
I am sure mine will do me fine - i don't look to push the edge of traction/grip each time go out.

Actually I don't believe it or not!
What I do expect is a tyre to perform when I want it to, I do not want to be overtaking a tractor or caravan, get infront turn in and end up in the hedge, which I feel with these is a very real possibilty. I think (at the mo) the edge of traction is too close to normal driving conditions, i mean, I acellerated up a dual carriageway yesterday and i had the TC light coming on in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and wait for it 4th, and that wasn't full power acceleration, just pulling off from a junction in a normal fashion (beat everyone else to the mile long empty dual carriageway fashion
)
So, I really do think that they will be better in the hot weather, but you only need look at the tread pattern V GYF1 to see which tyre has the most rubber in contact with the road...
i stand by my earlier comments tho, that if these tyres do take 2000 miles to scrub, then its just wrong.

lapman, go easy on em for 50 miles, then do 100 or so at "motorway speeds" (not mooch's motorwayspeeds) and after that, hold on to your spleen.
Make sure you give em a mile or so in the morning to warm up too.
The levels of grip will astound you.

Think I'll try these after the PS2s. I'm already very impressed with the grip wet or dry with the PS2. Maybe I'll be on here later with a thread 'having doubts about the GY F1 AS"

I normally have Conti Sport Contact 3 but even they were £45 a tyre dearer.
Two Pirelli P Zero Rosso's 255/35 19" 96 XL going cheap on Saturday...just in time for Woody's spanner meet.
