Yes.

Alex - seriously, mine were pretty dire at first as well, but trust me on this, they will come good. When I went from my old Dunlops to my new Vreds, thought I'd made a terrible mistake like you. I think it was due to the fact that my Dunlops were nearly bald and were giving stupendous grip and going from that to the Vreds was a real shocker at first. But, after reading lots of posts regarding bedding-in, decided to be patient. They are now swell.

Oh god, I used the 's' word again...

The next time I use that word, you have my permission to shoot me. :bash:

London Rs6- I am on 255's, and the tyre very definately does not suit MY driving style or MY car.
It may be that they do need bedding in- but 2000 mile Bed in on a set of tyres that will only last 10000 miles...... P-lease!
It just not acceptable, not on my car, not in my book anyhoo.
I am sure the cold weather has had an effect but I cannot believe that as today, on my way home from Rich's, i was on a completely dry road, temperature around 8 degrees, been driving at about 80-90mph for 30 mins on the A30, when I decended the hill aproaching Fraddon Services, so, i thpught here is a tester- I have taken that bend at 150 before and going up the hill the other side is one of the great feelings in a car- you get the "depression, compression and G" all at the same time. anyhoo, 100mph and I ended up in the middle lane from the outside, thing is, the road goes from 2 lanes into 5!
Its just not good enough.
So, it is probably just me and my super duper high expectations of the rubber and being used to the GY's has perhaps spoiled me a little,.
Well they have 500 miles to prove themselves, or else someone wioll bag a bargin, 1500 miles on em for £400.

Mo, Hmmm, I would love to think that this is the case, but I just can't see it matey. not on the barge anyhoo.

One thing ERich did notice is that my car is a lot lower than his- maybe that is having an impact?

Hmm, maybe - or even the HARBs? Perhaps the overall stiffness of the chassis needs the softer compound and the Vreds are a bridge too far?

Gawd knows mate..

Thats a good point. Have the compounds changed in the last year? Yours are 39/09 arent they Mooch? Mine are 09/09 and im well happy with them. Could there have been a change in manufacturers in between the two dates? I know the Russian firm went bust but not sure when.

Its a tricky one guy's.

Maybe the Gy's just work very very well on my car..... I just don't know. At the moment the Vreds are on a par with the conti's....and you all know what I think of them!

I really hope they come good. Either way, these tyres are SO hard, with the goodies, after a blat your finger would easily push into the tread, with these you just hurt your finger.

Hi Fellas

I was gunna order some VREDS despite the negative experience the Cornishmoocher has had.
Am i right in thinking that there are still plenty of positive views out there for the VREDS????

Also is it advisable to have the Alignment done with a change of tyres???
