Having doubts about the vreds......
When I had my wheels done i swapped the GYEF1'sAssys for the vreds.
Straight away I noticed the car was completely different in handling, so checked the tyre pressures and found therm a bit out, so sorted that and things improved a bit.
So, wanting to ensure the car was ok, I took it to wheels in motion, where Tony bones set my car up as per my usual spec, checked all the links and coilys and pronounced it was all ok.
The car just does not handle like it did, its skitish, and at high speeds really does not fill me with confidence, corners that I used to take at 70 or 80, I now struggle to take at 60, at 120 it feels like it is just abvout to slide away from me if i move the wheel...not nice.
I just cant think of what else it can be.
Any suggestions gratefully recieved!

Ive had the same feeling before with new tyres on my M3, put on Michelin Pilot Sport 3's after loads of recomendations from other people, drove it and car felt rubbish but after a couple of weeks scrubbing in they were awesome.
Could your new boots not be scrubbed in yet?

They are fairly scrubbed- just done a 1000 sharpish miles.....

what pressures are you running at ?

Have noticed the same but put it down to them being new. i think I changed them a few days before yours. After a couple of motorway runs, they're only now starting to perform.
They're noticeably waxy to touch and this has started to break down on mine. hopefully someone who's a month or 2 into a set can offer up a view.

When I had mine put on the fitter nearly put them on the wrong way round! Not had the same issues mate, sorry.

They definqately are not as soft as the GY's, i have had them hot hot hot, and they are still quite a firm compound.
I really hope they do come good.
I got made to look very ordinary tonight by a C6 saloon, wasted me from 50 to 120.

No, but will give it a go, but Tony Bones reckoned that 40 was the "optimum", so took hisn word as verification for what I had been doing.

I personally have found with the Vreds that the more air you put in them the better they are - both handling and feel, but at the expense of comfort. I myself found that below 37 psi led to tramlining and above 40 gives a crashy ride (275/30 remember), so currently have them at 39psi all round. On the 255s, have no idea what would be best.
