Aftermarket Brake Pads
Aftermarket Brake Pads
So I am considering changing the OEM pads to see if it cures some of my disk warping issues. But what I wanted to know is whether any of the aftermarket ones have pad wear sensors in them and if not, how are the connectors disabled?
Also, which pads? I know some have gone EBC yellostuff, my preference is Ferrodo DS2500's,and where is best to get them from?
Thanks in advance for the info.

That is what I suspected, I was pretty sure the EBC pads did have wear sensors and Ferrodo's didn't. And TBH, call me old fashioned, but I don't really want to be faffing on soldering wires together to trip the brake pad sensor system. It is a useful tool IMO.
Decisions decsiions. rAudiguy, any comments on your EBC yellos or indeed anyone else who has been running them so far? Same for the Ferrodo's

Don't forget that you need 2 sets per axle.

The pads have a "bedding in" coating on them, which I guess wears with initially use and maybe the discs as well. Think it was about £250 for the full set front and rear, so not too painful if they turn out to be not so good.... Make sure you get the latest part number though if you do go for them, I noticed a lot advertised on Ebay were the old ones that I don't think fit correctly due to the size of cutout.
OK, so having contacted Camskill about pads they have recommended that I go for... Pagids!
They are not getting any information from EBC about yellow stuffs having wear sensors in them and don't recommend DS2500 as they do not have sensors and don't recommedn tampering with bypassing thre sensors and they are from track use.
Back to square 1.
iana74 and skywriter, do you have the correct part numbers for the yellow stuff's front (with sensors) and rear?

Graeme, I ordered these at the same time as the diff mount but they were out of stock. I'm still up for a set if you want to try them.
