I have to put my defence on the use of the bus, I was only thinking of the car, short journeys are about the worst thing I could do to the engine, and it is much quicker by bus cos they have priority.

hmmm I like the idea's of selling the wife, but she won't be officially until may next year so that's a bit tricky and she may object

decision has been made I think we keep my car and sell hers in may. At least then it will get dirty and I will have an excuse to clean it every week

as for the survey - I really bought mine because I loved the idea of the RS2 but couldn't have one at the time. I feel audi have lost the plot a bit now and rather flooded the market with models, but thats just my opinion.

If this was any other car then I wouldn't have started this thread, but it's because it looks gorgeous could be used as a daily driver and then loaded up with ski-gear or as next week christmas presents and driven back to the UK that got me thinking, if it had been a porker etc then we would need two cars.
A brit in the Alps - Bought my Misano new in 2001 and still have it

Probably sell both and get a new RS4 then.

I make a point of not driving my car where it will be no fun. So commuting is out because it just adds mileage and you can't remember what the journey was all about. So it stays garaged and mileage stays low and is used only when I need to have a drive - usually weekends to Sainsburys
Standard RS4 (is it the only standard one left?)

Hmmm reminds me of my uncle who used to buy things and then put them in the loft until they got a bit dusty and then say to his wife as he brushed the dust off that he has had it for ages

lol, yeah done that too
My wife is just as bad with shoes and handbags. It has to be better than throwing all our money away on beer, or gambling, eh.
I am tending towards the sell her car and let her use the rs4 and as john said get the bumps fixed as and when they occur. Fortunately her car is to small and no 4wd so no good for skiing

Good choice.

John I think you are a collector like me but I am trying unsuccessfully to cure myself.

Guilty as charged
I too am trying to cure my ways, but not having much luck. Before we moved house the wife could claim no more room. Now she is worried I will just build another shed !
Ah well at least I can tell her I asked for unbiased advice and I was advised I had to keep the car

Nice one

Cheers,
John. (tag line says it all...)

p.s. We don't *need* the RS4 as such. I do ~25k miles a year, so keep an older car to mop up those miles. The wife has her own car too. And then we have some other toys like the RS4, none of which are really needed, just nice to have and play with once in a while
I did sell a car when I brought the RS4, so officially the car count has not gone up
Too many toys, not enough time
