MRC work was only done this year, I took it to a rolling road, but like in SteveH's thread, they couldnt set up the dyno properly to calc the bhp
It was in MRC for full health check on sat and has absolutely no problems whatsoever...iv got a chap coming to view Friday morning, so with a bit of luck it'll be sold (wishful thinking!)

You know you'll be buying another RS6 a couple of weeks after you sell yours. Once bitten...davidkoulakis wrote:iv got a chap coming to view Friday morning, so with a bit of luck it'll be sold (wishful thinking!)

Is funny, as after about 8 years of Audi ownership... when I looked to change the RS6, neither the new S6 or RS6 had the desireability factor, RS4 was much more the more natural choice, but after two test drives I was unfortunately underwhelmed... I would certainly have bought one in an instant, the only choice really should have been either bucket seats or Recaro seats.davidkoulakis wrote:thats my worry !Shoppinit wrote:You know you'll be buying another RS6 a couple of weeks after you sell yours. I dont get all these discussions about warranty. I see it that you have 3 options.
Buy a new C6 and pay cash of fund or finance. (£xxxx grand per month). Don't Mod anything. Get full Audi Warranty.
Buy a secondhand C6/C5 and pay cash or finance AND warranty. (£xxxx grand per month) Don't Mod anything as they will refuse claim.
Buy a secondhand C5 and pay £15k cash. Rip up the warranty and Mod to enjoy when you can afford it.
If you cant afford any of it, don't expect a supercar to be no risk and not cost £££.

I was slammed for questioning the advantages of a warranty in the classified section this week!
Seems so many folk are paranoid their car is gonna cost them money!
I've never bothered with warranties--an unneccessary expense in my view! If it breaks just get it fixed!
Think about it--the warranty companies will allways come out on top or they wouldn't be in business...........
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Hi Gents
if warranty companies always come out on top, why have warranty direct stopped giving warranties on the 6?
If they always come out on top then surely theyr turning down the opportunity to print money.....hhmmmmm

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Hi Gents
the reason they have pulled out is because the RS6 is now an affordable supercar! Many guys are now thinking they can afford such a car not realising that the running costs of a beast like these is considerable.Consequently they cut corners on the servicing etc and are relying heavily on their warranties, and as enthusiasts are claiming for every little fault which ordinary consumers would probably not!
The warranty companies have cottoned onto this and hence no longer offer cover.

I agree to a certain extent but I have a WD on my 4 and i've used to loads for things like MAF, Lambda's, etc asnd in the last few months I've claimed back my premium for the year and then some. If my turbo's went tomorrow they would be covered and i'd be thanking my lucky stars as there is no wayt i've got a spare 3k lying around for that. Also it covers me against the cam wear problems and i'm suire alot of 6 owners have used them to replace DRC with HR coilovers.
