Post by nsa » Mon Nov 09, 2009 12:04 pm

Hello all,

Bought last June, great car, cheaper on fuel than i feared. No issue so far. New version of DRC installed a few weeks ago. This website is very informative, thx to all the useful posts !

Hi, no they didn't. In fact i found out about new DRC parts by reading this very forum. I asked Audi Japan about it, this was not on their recalls list, but they managed to get the parts for me (took a while so i guess they came from Europe) and did the swap.

Browsing the Audi Japan recalls list i found just 3 for the RS4:
- 2007: ECU update
- 2009: low fuel pressure gauge; ignition coils

Cheers

Hmmm interesting did not know about the Coils, do you think this is just for Japan due to the high octane in the fuel?

Ganbatte!!!

Where in Tokyo do you live? Lived out there for a while and saw some lovely cars crusing up and down Omotesando at the weekends.

I am not far from Omotesando, on the other (west) side of the Yoyogi park.

Coils recall: tech bulletin here, in Japanese
http://www.audi.co.jp/etc/medialib/ngw/ ... 060309.pdf
says coil material was defective. Only concerns RS4s built from June 2006 to June 2007.
