Post by AndyC1982 » Tue Nov 17, 2009 3:39 pm

Hi Guys,

I'm in the market a new exhaust, what is everyones thoughts

Milltek
SuperSprint
Scorpion
Custom

I have just spoken to Grizz and the Millteks are on back order and I don't want to wait to long, is it worth waiting or are the alternative good, bad or indifferent???

I have decided to go for a scorpion cat back, basically i got it for a song!!! £400!!! also it is a full twin pipe system the same as the milltek so i imagine they perform similarly.

There was a post recently that the Miltek sits a little lower and can scrape on speed humps - Not sure if this applies to all the exhaust options you are looking at?

Cheers

i think custom will all ways be best , but is only realy as good as person fitting have had 5 fitted to cars ive owned four was good 1 was a right nightmare and i would AVIOD was due to bad fitting and fella being a right bodger (LongLife Plymouth) ended up taking back 5-6 times and he put greesey fingers on my cream headlining to top it all

i was told years ago to not get a milltek as are not that great and are well over priced and do hang low

SuperSprint exhausts are v light and an amazing sounding system but unfortunately are rather expensive. As supersi has said get a custom-made
exhaust so you can get it designed specifically to how you want it, ie. sound, look and performance :)

I have a scorpion (from QST). Is excellent. Bought it 2nd hand, and is absolutely fine.

However, if you're considering going big power probably cheaper in the long run to go Custom...
