They're very different cars, but the Black has a lot more grunt and is considerably quicker as a result. Being RWD, it's also a lot, lot more fun on the twisty stuff :D

Having said that, my B5 is boggo standard, so I'm sure some of you guys with modified one's would probably be quicker.

The fastest car that I have is the 911 (997) GT2. That thing is quicker than a missile. I had a race with a mate in his McClaren SLR and I was right up his chuff all the way to an indicated 211mph, but then we both had to slow down for fuel.
thats surprising i thought the SLR was way beyond anything like a GT2 or turbo, however its got an awesome exhaust note.

have you not considered a C6 RS6?
The SLR isn't all that to be honest. Yep, I had a C6 RS6, good car just a bit boring, I don't do enough mileage anymore to warrant that car.

Edited to add: my mate's SLR had to have an engine rebuild shortly afterwards (well after the Gumball rally actually), so I guess it may not have been performing at 100%.

Nah, that's not my main driveway, its just a bit around the side where I have my water and electricity for cleaning, etc.

Do you know, I haven't got a pic of them all together!

If the weather holds up, I'll try to get them all out this weekend.

All I can say is fair play and someday!!

And of course as above nice to know that with money to buy any car you bought a C5 RS6.

I can't see myself selling mine.
