The SLR isn't all that to be honest. Having said that, my B5 is boggo standard, so I'm sure some of you guys with modified one's would probably be quicker.
The fastest car that I have is the 911 (997) GT2. That thing is quicker than a missile. I had a race with a mate in his McClaren SLR and I was right up his chuff all the way to an indicated 211mph, but then we both had to slow down for fuel.
have you not considered a C6 RS6?
Edited to add: my mate's SLR had to have an engine rebuild shortly afterwards (well after the Gumball rally actually), so I guess it may not have been performing at 100%.
