Blacking the aluminium.

Finally got round to blacking some of the ali bits today and the car looks miles better already, managed to prize off the tailpipes as well which also look much better.
Does anyone know how to remove the strip at the bottom of he boot??
This so far has aluded me!

I assume its similar to the trim at bottom of doors, undo screw(s) and slide it out?

reset your camera to use minimal pixels

Yep,Did mine about a month ago.
The panel on the inside of the boot needs to be removed.
You can then see i think 6mm nuts each side of the trim.
The centre is bonded with the trim adhesive and requires a bit of persuation and being carefull not to bend it.

What paint have you been using, I used BBQ paint as I was doing the tail pipes for heat purposes.

Painted the tailgate trim in 2K.
Left the exhausts as they are chrome.

Ha ha did mine too today. Had to redo them 3 times to get finish just right.Black looks alot more evil.Girl friend saw my rs with black bits and now wants her A3 3.2 sline s bits done in black. lol

Nightmare, all the roof lining needs to come off.
A steady hand and mask off the roof rails much quicker.
