Saw a black '09 plate yesterday coming out of a Nissan dealership, mus have just taken delivery of it because my mum could drive faster and she doesn't have a licence! Very hesitant over speed humps and it scutlled over pot holes. Still has great presence .

Looked like a V spec as it had the black variant pattern wheels on it?

Seen about four GT-R and the odd RS focus, both of them are just wrong imo.

If anything the GT-R whilst having presence, looks very cumbersome on suburban roads, not as direct and clinical as an RS4.

Well these are the wheel it had. Having seen the normal GT-R I knew they were different unless you can get them on the normal edition?

I have seen quite a few GTR's on the road & several down at Goodwood over last few Breakfast club meets also lots of Focus Rs's which i think look pretty good in the flesh & at least with Ford when they say it has 300 bhp it will have! unlike Audi & our 414 bhp, i would love to own a GTR but the warranty issue on the gearbox would put me off, surely it should do what is say,s on the tin?

Here's one I saw in Dubai last year. Never been a fan of silver cars but the paintjob on this thing was amazing. Just like the paint was still wet!! You can't quite see how good it actually is from my phone camera.

Not going to win any beauty awards but there is a presence about it in real life which is difficult to explain and which you can't see in photos.

I like  (a lot).

On the downside, the interior is a bit playstation (literally - the dash graphics are by the guys that did the Gran Tourismo game) and the optional red trimmed seats are frankly hideous. It's no Audi interior.

Totally! looks good from the side too IMO. Definately looks better in the metal though rather than in photos.

I am thinking of a 996 Turbo or a GTR next. What would be best?

I like the GTR for its mean-ness and it's craziness, but am worried my money wouldn't be as safe as in the Porsche.

What would be quickest? Modified 911 (say 450-500bhp) or the Nissan?
