i'm sure we've all done some silly speeds in some very dodgy situations - i know have so i think its a bit unfair to come down on the OP the way some of us have.
and he has said that he will be doing these runs on unrestricted autobhans (is that how its spelt) and race tracks......
lets move on guys.......

AHHH YA BUNCH O JESSIES!!!
It was the most fun i had here for ages!
M5killer, its a free country (unless you live in china) and you do what you want matey, my point was that at 200mph+ the RS6 is an noisy 2 ton barge that takes some driving......

It's all Bollox.

Well from the OP's last post I didn't think he was in the correct forum.
Sadly this means some other person's family are at risk "in Europe" from this 200mph grenade.
I know you say you've owned (and currently own) many high performance cars, but often the mark of the controlled driver is NOT to use 100% of the car's potential, leaving you nowhere to go if you are "over extended" if something unexpected happens.
Certainly not on the roads.
On a track - go for it - if you own it you won't even have to pay for the clean up bill and armco afterwards.

Just for info I have a stage 1 mapped car which has shown 196 on GPS, this was Autobahn stuff with the asisstance of a slight downhill but nothing too severe. This is the superchips map and not MRC but soon to be stage2`d by them! I`m told in that state of tune they will sit at 206mph
However, on the flip side of that, I am not comfortable doing nearly 200mph even when I could legally do so. As it has been stated earlier in this thread there are so many variables come into play when you lean on the engineering that hard to the point where it just becomes a lottery.
Personally I think that driving the grip limit and extremely severe braking from high speed it what does it for me. Not driving in a straight line at nearly 200 just waiting for a tyre to go pop
Hope this helps

200mph - its like Afganistan, you know how to get there, know you can get there, you know its dangerous there and once you are there for any length of time, you are likely to die in a ball of fire. But you might not. Its hot and noisey, its full of people coming the other way who may just kill you, or your machine may not protect you just as good as you hoped, but anyone who has been there share something special......
Difference is that we are making that decision to drive at 200mph, conciously putting ourselves and all those around us at risk, when we we CHOOSE to do those speeds.
No disrespect meant to any of our boys out there- I am a huge supporter of help for heros, and ex RN who has seen conflict, before anyone comments!

I chosen to try to get to 200 , I did !! But only the once.... It was in the early hours , good light , no cars or trucks just me( in germany).
If this guy chooses to drive like this all the time who am i to have a go ... Some people on this forum will drive at 150-170 in places all the time , not every day or once a week but they will.
So whats the difference.......
You crash at any of these speeds your dead...

well I haven't so far, and to jump to first impressions, the OP does appear to fit a certain persona - probably new money, a- la Russian mobster, and the frequent trips to Bulgaria would fit. Having said that, someone THAT connected would fly, not drive across a continent.andyt wrote:Definitely, especially when I start getting this kind of thing in my inbox:stumpy67 wrote:How about the discussion ends now. Sadly even if he is ex Spetznatz he also has no idea who he is having a crack at on here either.
I was going to say it could be an interesting battle of wits, but now I put more thought into it, probably not.
