I think with a few more ?? you should be ok.

What did you do to get 540bhp?

540 BHP on the rollers, bet it's even more on the road with cooler air going into the engine.

Does anyone offer a club-sporting service? Rip out the rear seats (they weigh a ton!), lightweight alloys, light-weight battery, remove the entertainment and sat nav, erm I can't think of anything else... but a good reduction in weight would save the gearbox. :D

Isn't the MTM clubsport like that? The one with the manual box?

Either that or leave it unlocked in islington. Should be sorted within an hour.

I think its a case of not "If" but "When", regarding the gearbox failing.
Mine was replaced with only 33k on the clock and that was with only a MTM Stage 1 fitted, so its really down to pure luck how long it lasts as the gearbox is a major weak point of the RS6

I have been in a full stage 4 MTM RS6 (C5) that allegedly was pushing out 580hp. To be honest I did not think the extra cost of bigger turbos, new head gasket etc was worth is as the mid range torque felt exactly the same as a normal stage 1 car (as the gearbox struggles to handle more) and it was only the top end that the bigger turbos kept pushing when the stock versions trail off after 5000rpm. If you have the money and inclination then go for it, but IMO stick with what you have as the real world improvement is not much.
