Apline ipod control via rns-e

Post by approved » Sat Jun 20, 2009 10:55 pm

anyone running one here and how are you getting on with it?

there is the oem ipod installed in mine and by all accounts, its cack.

the alpine unit seems to be the only to get what i want which is full control, at the expense of the tv tuner, which apparently is also <beep>, so no great loss there then.

just need a few corroborators before i spend the 450 quid replacing whats already in ti.

cheers

Jt

Dension 300 is your other option? Not sure of you get full control with the dension though?

I'm in the same boat. Hoping to get some positive feedback before stumping up the cash.

On the TV tuner front if I read it correctly a TV tuner can be integrated into the Alpine iPod control. Don't know if it's digitial and don't have a guide as to the price but in saying that never really seen the point of the TV tuner anyway.

just plugs in via your tv input ( therefore deleting your tuner if fitted)

full control from their on in, mocking the control system on the ipod..

looks great, just wanted to know who actually had one...

plugged my ipod into mine tonight for the first time hoping the previous owner had fitted one already...unlucky me, its the dogshit oem one...

<beep> criminal piece of kit it is too...

dirge.

roll on wednesday when craig is fitting the ipod kit, so will update once done

I've heard of Craig. Top man by reputation. However he's in Manc and I'm in Bucks. I guess you're nr Manc.

did you notice any problems with the alpine user interface not fitting to the screen?
