Could have been much worse - glad to see that they must have understood the lack of intent...

I hope he can keep the RS. I'd imagine that his insurance premium will be a hard pill to swallow

All the best Marcus

HMMMMMMMMM Sunday night the cops came round, cautioned me then charged me for careless/reckless/dangerous driving they havent decided yet.

It's alledged that I overtook a car crossing, double white lines and get this: the people who I apparently overtook actually stopped and went in to a police station to report me! Apparently because there were 2 of them in the car that's corroborating evidence. There was 2 of us in my car also and we say it didnt happen so whats the scoop? I watched road wars the other day and some little scumbag stole a car joyrode it all over the place racing around the cop cars eventualy crashing and he got a £75 fine and done for not having any insurance!!!!!!!! And they have the ordasity to pull up at my door and charge me because some wanker said I did something I didnt. The police really are filthy <beep> useless arseholes.

I think they will probably end up dropping the case, your word against their's basically.

Not that long ago I was followed by an unmarked car for over 15 miles :!:
They were out looking for me as they had received a complaint that I had overtaken someone :!: :!: :!:

The cops were first class and said my driving and overtaking was fine..... although I was "pushing on a little" This happened in my Porsche Cayman S. The cop reckoned that they were jealous of my "ability" to pass, when they could not 8)

I asked what I was supposed to do about these kind of assholes and he said there was not much I could do :x

On Sunday passed, I came up behind a guy who was blocking the outside lane with no cars on the inside........ he gave me the fingers and then got his burd to video my car........... f*cking knob  I didn't even pass him on the inside I just sat behind him

How many times have you went to overtake some idiot who is crawling along only to have them accelerate hard to try and stop you  this is illegal but how many people do you know who have been done for doing it :?:

Lucky for us we all drive super saloons 8)

Don't worry about it and make sure that you and your passenger deny it point blank, don't give them anything to go on. I mean what kind of useless waster goes into a police station to report something like that :?: :!:

I seem to remember public stoning went out in the dark ages. So shut it.
er.... have you lost a good friend as a result of a drink driver? or someone who had a few then decided he was ok to drive? I unfortunately lost a very close friend in the Navy as a result of this..... so you think about that for a moment.

9 months and 500 quid fine..........

Speeding can also kill and none of us do that!!!! Do we??

Guy admits he was at fault, took what was given too him (by the law) and I'm sure won't let it happen again.

Get of the guys back - I'm sure (as he has said), he feels bad enough.

I (hope) that my incident was a bit different than the one involving your friend - I was followed for 15 miles, if they had thought my driving was in anyway bad then they would have stopped me before then, surely? They pulled me over due to checking my plate and it suggesting I had an MOT due...

I am sorry for your loss and do concur, silly thing to do... zero alcohol is the only way!

Anyway, agreed - case closed.
