So, Apart from the 2p rise in the budget, why is the price of petrol creeping up again? :bash:

Im probsbly wrong, but didnt think the 2p rise took effect until Sept

From my basic knowledge, all commodities are rising in price, on the back of renewed optimisum of the US economy bouncing back

but im an accountant, not an economist !

I was on petrol prices.com yesterday and Sainsburys were te cheapest by 4p, anyone use there fuel?

Use Tescos SU usually but could be swayed at a £3 odd quid saving a tankful..

God i'm a tight arse...

I've used their fuel a bit and had no really noticable difference. Heard a horror-story from a mate who advised that supermarket fuel isn't as good as the big names' on the basis that they don't use the same additives. Not sure I'm too concerned about it though.

I use Sainburys over here in Northern Ireland as we only have 97 anyway and you will often see the BP ultimate filling the Sainburys tanks anyway.

'traditionally' supermarket fuel is of a lower grade that the big suppliers, only thing you 'may' notice is pinking, but performance wise you would be hard pushed to tell.

Surely this forum is the wrong place for moaning about fuel costs!! RS6 and cheap running costs don't really go.

For those worried about fuel costs, may I suggest a Fiat Panda diesel. For smiles per gallon, stick with the RS6, put your hand in your pocket, and your foot to the floor!!

By far the bes fuel is (to my reckoning) T99, then V-power. Will not put anything else in the car. 97 does not get passed the filler cap, especially doubly so if it is sainsbury or asda or somerfield!

But TBH unless we see the price hike of thesort we had lasdt year-£80.00 a tank for V-power (cant get T99 here) is ok by me, and even when it was £100+ a fill up i still used the stuff like it was an addiction..........
It's all Bollox.

I never moan about the Goverment taxes (because it pointless)
I never moan about DRC (As present it running ok, at present :o )
I never moan about running cost (MRC take care of that)

So today i feel like moaning about fuel, and yes i do own a Fiat Diesel (Doblo Van) :) :)

PS Might also have a real big moan about my local stealers tomorrow if thats ok with you, dependant on what Lucas and the Crew find out tomorrow at MRC, we'll see...

Its a Prius for my mile munching day to day use.

Its probably only a tank a month in the six at the mo.

however, it still irks when you fill up

could be worse though, I could be driving a B7 RS4!
