Interesting offer Klauster - let's talk on Saturday (and I'm looking forward to seeing the wrap)!

I'm ready to roll - just need to decide whether to add a splash of 102 since we're only 8 miles from a garage that sells it...

well as all 20 cars are the same they don't have to change anything just roll on strap run and off!!!

of course it wont run exactly to time it's just a starting point for us! The point of the day is fun!! so i have no problems changing things on the day to suit everyone.

Jim
Sorry Jim I wasn't having a go, it just seems a quick turnover

Are any of the late runners likely to drop off?
Might be able to make this if any spaces are going, as there doesnt look like the fastest type of RS4 (the cab  ) is not on the list!!!!

Klauster, are the discs a straight forward change over, no software upgrades required?

Looks like alot of "Jason's" are attending but I'm not one of them.

I've tried the high octane trick but I reckon the long term adaptation means you'll need to run it a while to benefit, if at all....

It seemed to reduce the sooting at the tail-pipes.

Curiously, can VAGCOM monitor short/long term adaptation? I've read in the BMW community, about tools which can...

once you pop the disc in it will do the software updates.

The discs do the software update but once done you can't go back to an older version disc as it knacks up the Firmware so the duplicates would have to be v.good. But if they are I would also like to put my name down for a 2009 version in exchange for some of our devalued currency!

Thanks for organising Jim, I just hope we are there in time to allow our cars a cool down period before going on the rollers but will do our best.

I am I right in thinking installing this disc would wipe any hacked SDS programming?

IIRC the SDS programming is imbedded in the Firmware so it may well do, yes. CraigyB would be better placed to answer though, I'm just guessing off what limited knowledge I have of RNS-E programming.
