Fitting W8 undertray to B5 RS4

Post by neckarsulm » Sun Apr 05, 2009 12:21 pm

..can anyone confirm if this is as simple as refitting the original or if extra work is needed e.g. drilling new holes to align with those in the bumper.
Thanks

I think most of it is pretty straight forward, only gripe is the lower intercooler hoses, as you'll see the originaly tray has a recess for these.

Don't think no one has sucessfully fitted one though....

It probably was in the past but I didn't get one with the car.

I was under the impression MRC fitted these as replacements as a matter of course, anyone?

the holes all line up so no need for drilling. as TradeRS mentioned, the lower i/c hoses will press against the W8 belly pan. a heat gun was used on mine to mold the plastic. i've seen others cut a rectangular hole in the W8 pan to accomodate the i/c hoses.

Superb info drewski thanks! (Especially as I have a heat gun!)
