The Best way to appreciate just how good your RS4 is.

Post by P_G » Fri Mar 27, 2009 7:29 pm

Go and drive an underpowered small family car for a day and get back into your car.

I sometimes forget just how good the RS is but after a day in the wife's A2, the RS feels more planted, lighter in steering wheel feel, more precise, better turn in, less roll and infintely more powerful.

If anyone continues to complain their RS is underpowered I'll let you have the A2 for an hour for you to appreciate how good your car is! At a price of course!

i do something similiar, book it in at Audi and take a courtesy car, usually another A4 variant..... does exactly the same for me when I get back in the RS

Totally agree. Go back to it after the wifes A3 and there is no comparison whatsoever. Open up an RS4 on any decent road and unless you are really picky there are not too many things around that will touch it. A great all-round package me thinks. :D

I only drive my wife's Clio Dynamique 1.6 when the RS4 needs filling up with petrol.

Wifey has Porsche Cayenne turbo to ferry the kids around so whilst I see a huge difference in handling the porsche is quick and sometimes scary for a big car. Looks like a pig though ( that's the car not the wife ). She loves it but I hate the thing especially as I pay all the bills. Mind you the price I picked up for 2nd hand in October was stupendous value

Yep, third is usually good for up to 100 before hitting the limiter, fourth takes you well past that.

Keep the rev's above 5k and then the car becomes a racing car, just try it !
Only problem is, it's just too fast for most roads where i live driving it this way :(

Oh dear. I'm going the other way (ooh er missus!), I've got the RS6 saloon tomorrow for 24 hours. I still think I'll enjoy getting back into the "smaller" RS4. Will let you know how the 6 drives tomorrow.
