Tried gently feeding it in but still kicked down when you got past the clicky bit. Im not fussed though. At the end of the day, with 3/4 throttle it was very happy pulling 451bhp, so im content with a 500 ish est especailly with the torque figures being higher than expected.

Cornishmoocher wrote:Strange..... Generally, you can run upto 7k without kicking down, thats what Charlie did with mine, 3rd gear in flapster mode, feed the power in and all was fine! No kickdown- 510hp and 560ftlbs!
Also, as you can see from the graph it was only going to 6k before we had to push it past the clicker. Then it just kicked down. When you floor it though it will go all the way to the limiter but in a lower gear. Like i said, i think maybe the gearbox map needs adjusting slightly.

True bhp can be seen where the torque line crosses the bhp line.. So it looks like you've got 450 bhp.

You know alot more thsan me Grizz so i won't argue. The only defence i have is that adjusted map i had proir to the run was designed to give more power in the 6k + area which we never got to. You can really feel it when you drive it. When i eventually come see you for a DRC replacement (cos it will happen one day) you can have a look for yourself. All that aside. 450 is good for me, seeing as torque is a-plenty.

Eddie, Please take this in the way this is meant. We all love our cars, and most people on here will do all they can to help out, honestly and truly. I think you have a poorly car mate. Your car is running 450 bhp WITH a map. Please get a second opinion on the health of your car.

I dont think I am the only one on here who thinks this, but maybe the only one who will risk a bollocking from you, telling you what we feel!

Meant with a real sense of care from a fellow RS6er.

appreciated mate. You guys know your stuff, and i won't claim any equal status. If you think its poorly then i'd like to know where and why. A second opinion is a good idea if this is the case. When driving the car all does seem 100% well and in working order though so i am slightly confused. Especially seeing as all other stats done on the test were a.o.k. I'll be dropping the car off again tommorrow for the d/valve replacement so i'll ask them to check out the cars health.

I would agree with Cornish, I'm also running a MTM Stage 1 and its hitting 496bhp which is nearly spot on for 500ps that the MTM Stage 1 should give you.
Have a word with Kim at QST about the MTM map, but to be honest it looks like either Triton have cocked up on the dyno or there somethings not running right with the car.

Personally Eddie, I would take it to a specialist. As far as I know, there are only 2 in the uk, if you exclude QST (for obvious reasons). You only have to look at condor24's post regarding his MTM car (that actually was standard)- he was only pulling 400hp. Had it checked out by grizz, and got it back to 450.

mine was dyno'd up twice beforwe the run aove. It made 489hp. I was not happy with this so sent the plots to Grizz, who when on checking it out did a few bits but we changed the mafs and n75, and the result is posted above.

Get them to plot AFR too- that can show lots.....

Alex
