Spare Key!

Afternoon guys!!!

I'm in need of a spare key fob for the RS6 and I think I have two options

1) Ebay - But how do I get it coded and which frequency do I need?
2) Audi - It will probably cost a months mortgage payment!!!!

Can anyone advise me?

I got one direct from my Audi dealer awhile ago and think it cost about £30-40 IIRC. they did code it for me and didn't charge me for it although I was getting a bit done at the time.

I got charged another 56 pounds ex-vat or so on top of the cost of the key for the coding.

there's a set on pistonheads
RS6 Avant, black with black wheels, front S6 led lights, rear smoked Led lights, miltek non-res, miltek cat by-pass down pipes, ITG air filters, H&R kit with Arb's, MRC stage 2

In the audi parts section I'm sure it's for rs6 only had a quick look check it out

If it's just the key fob, you can code it with VAGCOM to make it work with your car easily enough.

If you need the key to work with your immbolizer (ie. start the car), then you need a new key. I believe they can only be coded once. Also you can't do this with the VAGCOM unless you've got the secret code for you car.
