You do know they havent released it yet dont you? The only reason I say that is how could you call it anonymous when the final version has not been seen?
I would also say that you could not get a more anonymus looking car than an s4 but look what they did with the RS4, they made a few very subtle changes to the car and it looks brilliant.
I couldnt afford an R8.
The A5 shell has back seats for a baby and a large boot and bags of room in the front. I think you have got mixed up with the recently shown TTRS.
So how much will a new RS5 be and how much is a second hand R8??
I was referring to the A5/S5 with the anonymous comment.

A 911 carrera has space for a baby and looks good.......

Sorry I must of read it incorrectly.

"Completely agree, not only is it completely anonymous it's cramped inside. It's pointless - why would anyone buy a RS5 over an R8?"

I think you probably knew what you meant in your own head.
Yes a 911 has space for a baby but there are a number of problems, if you go C4s the front boot is not deeper enough to hold a chair, the Quinny is one of the pushchairs that will fit in the C2s but struggles on the C4s, there is also the issue that you need to have the passenger seat pushed a fair way forward which would not be ideal, but I agree it is an alternative and something i would like.

Quinny!!!!! couldn't you choose something a little larger for your kiddie? Like the QE2? :D It's probably got larger wheels than the RS5.

Buy a Tata Nano, stick the wife & kids in that, it's designed to mobilise a country which I know is a little less than a Quinny but maybe it'll fit?

A QUINNEY - your pushchair of choice - the one and only deciding factor on which car you buy............You mentioned it.

In laymans terms: Get a smaller pram.

Ok the Nano comment was a bit complicated since I was referring to the metaphorical size of the car in that it is supposed to mobilise India (A country situated to the East , used to be a british colony) rather than it's physical size [Juxtaposition - COMEDY]. Perhaps if I'd said Ford F50 (A ridiculously proportioned pick up truck popular in America) you would have been on tack.

SEE? :drink:

But not a year ago this car was commanding high 30's!, and with demand exceeding supply you will see this happening more and more as the RS4 and cars like it find their value again.

Looks like it'll be staying with the dealer a while yet then, until other cars similar age and better spec are sold at a lesser cost and create the supply and demand issue which justifies such a high cost.

But how to tell the difference between dealers not taking them in and seeing strong demand?

Just scary the thought of who has bought them, hopefully not too many people who would reinforce Clarksons stereotype of RS4 drivers
