Well - I've decided to take a well deserved skiing trip to Courchevel and what better way to get there (from London) than in my RS4...?
So bloody excited! Setting off on Saturday. Am I wrong in thinking that the Alps are the perfect playground for an RS4 Avant?
Any tips from anyone that has done the drive would be greatly appreciated..
Courchevel - Here we come...
Did the same a couple of years back in the BM I had at the time.
Good fun, and it doesn't take too long. The road up to Courchevel can be fun, and I would imagine in the RS4 it would be great. When we did it, it was covered in snow and a little scary!
When in Courchevel, only park in designated spaces otherwise you might find your car has been lifted onto a truck and taken away!!
Despite the 14" of fresh snow, and the fact that the car was buried, (where we abandoned it the night before after getting stuck due to all the other traffic becoming gridlocked, and the chains we had not fitting despite assurances from the manufatcturer to the contrary) were had a parking notice on the windscreen giving 2 hours to move the BM! I thought it was a joke, until the tow truck removed the car next to us whilst we were diggin ours out!

We were there first 2 weeks of Jan in the RS4.
Back in April...
I'd park underground if it is an option.
If the temperatures are anything like they were when we were there, your gearbox oil will take a good few minutes to warm up if you've left the car outside all week...in the meantime you won't be able to shift...obviously...
See if you can make it from Calais in less than 6 hours...
Fuel up in Moutiers to save yourself a few quid...
