60K Service - Mucho Pesos?

Post by BigMo » Thu Feb 19, 2009 6:09 pm

As it says. What quotes (if any) have you guys had or paid for when she reached the 60K marker? What does the 60K entail?

I had mine done last year and got wildly different quoted from four dealers. Ended up paying circa four hundred and it includes sparks, filters, oil, fluids and usual health check.

Would recommend you email them and get written quote with a detailed breakdown of what is included. Very revealing....

thanks James. Been umming and arrring whether to skip the steamers and get a better deal elsewhere (like the boys from Banbury). A motorsport friend of mine quoted me circa £230 if I took it to his and he's done work for some Audi privateers on the German D2 circuit. Still thinking

IMO, stay away from the dealers. If your concern if having FASH, I'd say go to some estsblished like MRC (like you said), then if anyone queries the service history just tell to look at MRC website and they'll be left in no doubt that the best place for an RS to go

I'd agree, dealers will charge £600 - £700 for the big service, as the car ages and miles grow, just forget the dealers and use MRC or Grizz, people who know what they are doing and the service record actually counts for something. Best thing about Audi is a no quibble 2 year guarantee on work, but a service is not really having parts replaced, its maintenance, so save your pennies and use specialists.

I have no intentions on visiting the stealers chaps. Although service has been good with them in the past they really don't smile until the bill has been presented. I have been with the stealer for years, but in the current Market I can't get anymore bang for my bucks. I find that with the current situ with the Market financially that the C5 is a keeper for me. Still makes me grin after all these years. I think the saying goes "once one has tasted cream......". I'm not fussed anymore by a FASH, hell I haven't bothered to renew or shop around for a warranty. Thank god for the Aygo!!!!!

A full 20k service will all filters , plugs , oil ect is £400 + vat . All parts are genuine & the car gets a "proper" look over.

Are you a member of Audi's 'Club Class'? that should get you a discount on stealer prices. No idea how I became a member, but apparently I am. I also get free MOTs for as long as I have the 6 :)
