I have - http://www.cuttingyourcaruse.co.uk/addup.xls

But basically, the more miles you drive the cheaper per mile it is! Any excuse ;)

So is anyone else going to put their cost per mile up?
To be honest, I thought mine would be higher than the £1.85 I got.

The answer is no and I have never worked out the cost of my wife and children(private school & Uni). They have all given me great enjoyment and enriched my life,I have no complaints.

£1.26 per mile for me - I'm amazed! Sure it would be more than that. :D

OMG £10.97 per mile ! Happy but expensive motoring, best do some more miles. Well I would if I could afford to !

Depreciation has been a killer this year and its a 3rd car doing 2,000 miles a year on sunny weekends.

What a load of old tripe, I wouldn't know where to start poking holes in this one. A typical biased 'green' view of motoring as a scare factor to try and get us to comply with what is fast becoming the common opinion on emissions and pollution. It's got cack all to do with saving me money!

Frankly, while I am not unsympathetic to the environment (in most other areas including professionally I'll take a responsble view to what I can do for the environment which predominately results in benefiting to the local area/UK) I really don't see how cutting back on my motoring emissions will save the planet considering what's going on in India, China et al and interestingly enough the good ole US of A.

I'm on this planet for a fixed (but unknown) duration and I'm going to make sure I try to ensure every damn minute of it and if this means driving a 4.2 V8 10k miles per year then so be it.

Bit of a rant for my first 'real' post and slightly off topic so apologies up front but this type of sh!t really gets my hackles up.
