There is a buying guide for the 996 in the February edition of Performance Car magazine.

I would not want to be in a 996 c2/c4 only to see an RS6 filling my rear view mirror :shock: lol

Back in the summer came off a roundabout on a dual carriageway and the Porsche Carrera decided to overtake (?)....so I pulled away leaving a perplexed driver in the rear view :twisted: . Next day same thing happened except it was the other way and this Porsche pulled away (this was before the MRC re-map) next roundabout caught up and noticed it was a new GT3 :roll: !

Given the option Porsche...997 Turbo or the C4S for everyday, weekend frivolity GT3.

Life (job requirements as a surveyor means I carry a ladder) RS6...
Mugello blue saloon with MRC re-map 1+, Bilstein PSS9, Hotchkis ARBs and resonated Milltek cat-back, Kenwood DAB/Sat Nav/Ipod/Bluetooth

it is a great feeling climbing all over the back of a 996 and watch him trying to work out how he cant get away from an estate car , and with a ladder in the back....builder/estimator/surveyor... running your own building company (based in Wallington,Surrey) requires many hats to be worn !!
Now : XFR Jag 5.0 Supercharged

Used to have : C5 Daytona Avant , silver leather , carbon inserts ; RNSE, TV in motion, Bluetooth , well filled SD card slots ; PSS9's ; Hotchkiss ARB's ; Miltek cat back res ; Wagner intercoolers ; Phaeton brake ducts ; forge DV's ;

Had both too. Glad I had one of them, wish I'd never had the other...
RS4 B5. Where it all started.
RS6+ Never to be replaced.
Replaced by: 997 Turbo. Didn't like.
Replaced by RS6. I like(d).
Land Rover Defender. Not as nippy.
Back with C6 RS6
And again C7 RS6
