Chaps,

Try 'its4me.co.uk'. I was with swinton paying 620, then got a quote from its4me and it was 430, turned out they are the same company??!! I am 35 with full NCB and car is parked behind the house on a private street but no garage??!! Pretty good deal me thinks??!!

I know Im new here but I have to say that Im sure that the only people to recommend Admiral have never had to either make a claim or speak to Customer Service! When you do its brought into vivid clarity WHY their quotes can be lower!!! Indian Call Centres anyone???
Norwich Union, who Im now unfortunately with, despite their claim to Make You Happy, have done anything but!! Another company that think its a great idea to have their Claims Department based in India!!!!!!!! WTF!!!
So I think its time that as well as asking about best premium, people should also ask the opinion of people who have had to use the services of an Insurer. I think then the recommendations will be very different!

I'm in the process of looking for a mint RS6, but have had quotes from Admiral's Multicar policy of £204 for an 03 plate 32000 mile RS6 saloon. I'm 33 with a 26 year old fiancee and have a protected NCB.
That looks like a pretty good deal to me! I do have 10 year NCB with no points, but even so.... ;)

Swiftcover renewal

Post by langstone » Mon Feb 02, 2009 4:02 pm

Just had my renewal quote,

£340.00 - 46 Year Old full NCB

No mods allowed though so may look elsewhere as remapping sounds fun.

The experience Marcus335 describes says it all, you get what you pay for and you'll only find out when you need them. I'm with NFU, not the cheapest but you can actually go and see them in their offices and talk face to face.

Some nice motors there. I'm happy with my RS6 as all rounder and it suits me for the mo, but might go for a 911 myself next.

When using online comparison sites, Swiftcover always seems to come out the lowest, however.......

Upon reading many, many reviews of peoples experiences with them, it's clear to me that whilst cheap, they aren't very highly rated in the claims department (no pun intended). No only that, but quite a few things that are included as standard with other providers are not included with Swiftcover. When I went through the whole process getting the Swiftcover quote, there were loads of things they tried to add on at the end which bumped the price way up.

In the end, decided to stay with Admiral as I personally have found their customer service to be excellent and the price on my RS6+ was just over 700 (I'm 34, max. NCD, Herts.) That was with most things included. Not only that, but Admiral actually refunded me some money last year as an endorsement I had expired mid-term. Not sure how many companies would have done that..
