mine with full exhaust and remap did the same basically reaching 300 Km/h real speed....

We were in Germany pre christmas, and on the way home I had a few miles at V-Max.

We had the Origin GPS gadget set to KPH and it stopped at 259 / 260 kph.

Pretty sure this was a limited speed as the numbers were still going up relatively fast until this point.

This equates to around 160 / 162 mph true speed.

The speedo was showing just over 170Mph.

The car is a standard Avant, and at the time was running on the 275/30 tyres, which may account for the speedo error.

crispy -- you got 260 with a remap or without? I got that without a remap.

With a remap, I was up to 280 kmh with another 1500 rpm to go on 6th gear.

I've had 168mph on the GPS, in sixth, in my standard Avant. Not sure what the speedo said, too scared to look!

Car had had a remap from Mr West at Thruxton, other than that I believe it was stock. The owner has changed marques recently (im sure he'll be changing back soon) and will confirm any mods.

Oh, and its a saloon.

Your are correct! Ray west tune and a resonated milltek! Only mods on darryls car!

How long is 6th gear & how much extra top speed would that full gear likely give me?

Easy way to find out Paul, is to dial up 4100rpm in top, and then double whatever you see on the speedo and/or GPS.

My speedo under-reads by ~10kph, so it looks like theoretically the car is geared for ~190mph.

However, peak power isn't at peak rpm so you might get stuck at that point on the curve...

I spent 3 years trying to go 200mph on my ZX12R without "breaking into the motor" and never managed better than 198mph...endless combinations of remap(s), front and rear sprockets, tyre pressures, exhausts, aero mods....it'd do 197mph all day....
