It's a nice car mate and I would have been interested if it wasn't for the age and mileage :(

Still, hang in there mate as the climate is fooked, but it will sell as I found out ;)

Yes, car still for sale, I've had a lot of idiots ringing and emailing me with offers without even asking to see the car - just vultures trying to sniff out an easy meal.

I'm in Godstone, East Surrey, just 1 mile from J6 M25 - I take it the age and mileage are not such an issue now?

Here is the link to the advert on Pistonheads -

Age and mileage are less of an issue but the newer the better ;)

I guess it boils down to what you pay based on the age and mileage, market conditions and used car place as a whole.

Vulture sniffing out an easy meal is in our nature, everyone wants a deal and when it's allegedly a buyers market even more so.

I'll think about it and get back to you.

I agree with you up to a point, everyone wants a good deal, but this IS a good deal, and as always the old adage of "what the market will bear" comes to mind. As far as I'm concerned I feel that the price is actually very attractive and definitely less than it's real worth even in current market conditions, so if someone is worried about the mileage, road tax and fuel consumption then they won't, or shouldn't, be looking at this market, it's niche anyway. There are a lot of potential buyers who have only read about the S6 on paper and as you well know, once driven.....

So I've priced it at what I consider to be a very competitive level - I want to sell, but I don't have to sell, so I'm certainly not going to reduce it any further. All things are relative and so I will keep the car rather than lose a shedload of money - that's strictly for the desperate and the vultures to wrangle over. Anyway, I've already made the decision to withdraw it from sale if it doesn't sell by the end of this month, I still very much love the car and don't really want to sell anyway - even if it is the logical thing to do Mr Spock. And if I do end up keeping it, I'll almost certainly fit a Miltek exhaust - less than £800 from Amd Technik, fitted, and I'll keep the car forever.....just realised that I'm rapidly talking myself out of selling it aren't I? :bash:

Tony, can you email me some further pics to thegolfather@gmail.com

I wouldn't bother with the Milltek, get an original RS6 exhaust and you'll love it. I had one on my previous S6 and even RS owners were surprised how great it sounded, plus much cheaper ;)

For the record, i'm interested.

Have now withdrawn from sale as I'm not prepared to lower the price any further. It's far too good a car to let go for silly money, so I'm keeping it! :blackrs4:
