Milltek drone
Milltek drone
Having successfully fitted a B7 resonated catback Milltek to my B6 avant,I am getting a really loud droning noise inside the car at between 1500-2000 rpm ?? Is this normal & can it be deadened ?

Best way to upload the photo's would be through a http://www.photobucket.com you can upload the pictures onto there. Once you have done that you just need to post the address for them on here using the IMG button on here. So it would appear as (without the spaces in there).... i hope that makes sense

Most S4 exhausts reach resonance frequency between 1500 and 2000 rpm hence the drone. Milltek is no different, the sleeves will not make any difference either. I had an AAS 3" s/s system fited to my B6 S4 and it required sleeves as well making the step up from 1.75" to 3" pipes.
Did you get it fitted at Revolution?

No,as it happens,I have a mate who works at the local Kwikfit,he did it for me one afternoon.Am now getting used to the drone, but as a taxi,I'm sick of customers asking if the exhaust is blown !!!!!
